PISA-PAPÉIS

Pisa-Papéis is a communication platform directed to active agents in the field of Performing Arts. It was born with the purpose of creating a structure of common communication and promotion within the sector. It also aimed to supply the need the agents have in enlarging their contacts and discovering new market opportunities.

It cobbles together organised, up-dated and detailed information about spectacles offers, agents, organising entities and support services. Pisa-Papéis is used as a reference database in cultural production universe, both for programming and for selling spectacles. Pisa-Papéis has a transversal and decentralised view of cultural production, and it represents entities from all over Portugal.

Contents are available both in paper –edition of the annual guide- and on-line –www.pisa-papeis.com- Information is divided into three groups: Creators, Promoters and Services; and into thirteen subgroups: Theatre, Dance Music, Multidisciplinary, Animators, Circus Arts, Children, Oral Narration, Complementary Creative Fields, Training, Festivals, Organisations, Spaces and Services.

It also shows other complementary information: event’s calendar, list of cultural centres of Instituto Camões, National Libraries Network and contacts of Town Councils. The annual guide launches 5.000 exemplars and is directed to the ones who decide and work in the universe of performing arts: creators, companies, spectacles rooms, autarchies, libraries, companies, press, public and private entities.


DISTRIBUTION

In Portugal, Pisa-Papéis is distributed through strategic collaborations with Instituto das Artes (spectacle rooms), IPBL (National Libraries Network), CCDR-LVT (Town Councils and institutions of Lisbon region and Tagus Valley). At an international level, it is distributed in fairs and performing arts’ markets in Spain, France and through Instituto Camões network (Cultural and Learning Centres all over the world).

The inscription and introduction of contents is done using the site, in the last trimester of every year, and the distribution takes place in the first trimester of the following year. It is available in libraries and in the site www.pisa-papeis.com.

Pisa-Papéis is an initiative of Procur.arte organisation and is recognised by the Ministry of culture, by the Right of Patronage, as a Project of Cultural Interest Manifest.
